My Oscars Favourite: Mila Kunis

When I saw Mila Kunis arrive as I was watching the coverage on E! I literally gasped. She looked absolutely jaw dropping, equal parts goddess and bombshell. Wearing one of the colours of the night, she glided onto the red carpet and smoldered for the cameras. I love this dress, it was one of my favourite looks from Elie Saab's Spring 2011 collection as lilac is one of my favourite colours. I honestly can't rave about Mila enough, she was my Favourite from the night. What a knockout.

Oscars After Parties: The Best of The Rest

Oscar After Party Favourites: Elton John's Soiree

Nicole Richie, Emma Roberts, Odette Yustman and Malin Akerman all looked HOT at Elton John's Oscar screening party.

Oscar After Party Favourites: Vanity Fair

Emma Stone, Leslie Mann, Kate Beckingsale and Selena Gomez all looked absolutely STUNNING on the red carpet last night.

The 'Me No Likeys' at the Oscars

I really wasn't keen on Florence Welch last night. The colour washed her out, and there was too much frill for my liking.

This may be a controversial comment, but I wasn't keen on Halle Berry last night. I feel terrible, as I LOVE Marchesa, but I just feel that it's nothing we haven't seen before.

I liked Mandy Moore's look, but I didn't love it unfortunately. It's just a little too frou-frou. The colour also washes her out, and her hair colour doesn't help this fact.

Hilary Swank in Gucci Premiere

Nicole Kidman in Christian Dior

Gwyneth Paltrow in Calvin Klein Collection

Michelle Williams in Chanel

Oscar Favourites: Cate Blanchett

Cate Blanchett was my second favourite of the night. Her Givenchy Haute Couture was such an amazing choice for her. She looks regal in the architecture inspired design in a divine shade of lilac. I have two favourite elements about this dress. The first is the criss-cross back with the yellow embellishment and the second is the full pleated skirt. I am so in love with pleats, I am dying to get my hands on a pleated maxi skirt for summer. The one that Olivia Palermo was wearing last week at the Mulberry show during LFW was on top of my wishlist but now I'm on the hunt for a lilac version. I was unsure of whether anyone would be able to carry off the Givenchy Haute Couture Spring 2011 collection, but of course, if anyone could do it, Cate Blanchett would be your woman.

Oscar Favourites: Sandra Bullock

Sandra Bullock is our second lady in red. Her Vera Wang gown looked beautiful and sexy at the same time. So sexy in fact, that I thought the dress was by Versace. I like that she decided to wear her hair up, I'm guessing she's at that awkward stage of growing out a heavy fringe. Her ex-husband must be kicking himself because Sandra looks awesome.

Oscar Favourites: Jennifer Lawrence

Lady in red number one, Jennifer Lawrence, looked amazing last night. She was the first celebrity on the red carpet and she set a very high standard. I love how much impact a simple red dress can make on a smoking hot blonde. What a body, huh? Is Jennifer the new Cameron Diaz?

Oscar Favourites: Natalie Portman

I predicted it before I saw her on the red carpet, and I wasn't disappointed to see Natalie Portman in Rodarte. After the Anti-Semitic comments John Galliano is alleged to have slurred at a couple in Paris last week, I wasn't surprised to see the (Jewish) face of Miss Dior Cherie wearing another label. This colour is absolutely DIVINE on the pregnant star, and the draping and embellishment at the top of the gown is stunning. This dress gives me flashbacks to Natalie's stunning entrance at the Venice Film Festival premiere of Black Swan in the red Rodarte gown. I love it, and she is absolutely glowing on the night of her career (Portman deservedly won Best Actress).

Oscar Favourites: Reese Witherspoon

First up from last night's awards show we have Reese Witherspoon in Armani Prive. I love how simple and beautiful her monochrome number is. I can imagine a beauty from back in the day to wear something along these lines, someone such as Audrey Hepburn or Sophia Loren. I love Reese Witherspoon so much, I saw her interviewed in the green room at the show and, like always, she came across as such a lovely person.

Beauty Thursday: Braid-y Bunch

If you’ve been outside today, you may have had a slight surprise. Yes fellow Britain’s, you weren’t going mad, it actually did feel (dare I say it) warm. Well, ‘warm’ as in 15C in February, which weather people are describing as the hottest day of the year. I hope they mean ‘hottest day of the year SO FAR’, how depressing to think that this is as warm as 2011 is going to get. Almost enough to make me want to emigrate to a Californian beach right now…who am I kidding, like I need an excuse to want to move to California.

Anyway, as spring has almost-nearly-definitely sprung, I thought I’d share with you today an idea to try over the (potentially warm-for-February) weekend. Who doesn’t love petite braids? I certainly do, there is something so charming about adding a hippyish boho element to an ensemble, and girlish mini braids are a perfect way to do so. Of course a these dainty hair plaits have to be paired with disheveled hair, anything too polished and you’ll end up looking like a 5 year old on the way to a dance class (yes, we know ballet is a big trend right now but still…) I may be slightly biased, as I am part of the fair hair tribe at the moment, but I think this style looks best on highlighted blondes. Nothing says ‘summer is here!’ quite like some freshly gilded strands of hair.

(This look has been perfectly showcased by Kate Bosworth on the cover of the latest Nylon magazine.)

Seyfried The Siren

Soon to be seen starring in Red Riding Hood, Amanda Seyfried covers Interview magazine. I love the pictures that accompany her feature, in which she is put on the spot by her latest co-star, Justin Timberlake. She looks sweet and innocent, but at the same time, completely sexy and sultry. My favourite image is the one where she’s sat on the rocking horse, just look at those legs! I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again: there is just something about a woman in hold ups that is so irresistibly gorgeous and powerful at the same time.

I wish Interview magazine was easier to get hold of in the North of England. I love that they get their interviewEE’s fellow colleagues to be the interviewers, a very intriguing idea. And the photoshoots are always a little bit awesome, remember Blake Lively’s jailbird spread a few months ago?
