Blonde Ambition
I have long been a fan of Reese Witherspoon. I love everything about her. She is an extremely talented actress, with an Oscar to prove it. She has brains as well as beauty with her own Hollywood film production company, Type A films. She has managed to go from child actress to Hollywood star without any awkward moments or drugs-related breakdowns. She seems like a good mum, and I bet she’s an awesome person in real life. Also, we have the same name (her real name is Laura Jean Reese Witherspoon, she spells hers differently but I’ll let her off). In short, Reese Witherspoon is my role model. To put the cherry on top of my cake, her sartorial choices of late have been fabulously put together. She was photographed at an Avon event (for whom she is the face of) a couple of days ago, and she looks gorgeous. Her Jason Wu corset style dress was the perfect choice for her petite frame, just enough princess sparkle and frills to be cute without looking over-cooked. It’s interesting that I can imagine Taylor Swift in this dress too, when she has recently been spotted getting cozy with Reese’s (totally HOT) ex – Jake Gyllenhaal (lucky so-and-so).
Reese is currently filming This Means War with Chris Pine and (the also totally HOT) Tom Hardy (those lips man!). Her wardrobe for this film looks awesome too, lots of cute, flirty mini dresses with simple pumps and a chic cover up. Her hair is such a perfect shade of baby blonde, and I love it styled with plenty of volume. This hair style is now on my wish list, so thank god the length and colour isn’t too far away from my current style, I just need to grow our this silly demi-fringe.
Whilst looking at pictures of Reese on the This Means War set, I got thinking about other films that got me excited about her costume. Firstly, of course, we have her breakout role as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde (and Legally Blonde 2). I am not ashamed to admit that both of these films are very much my guilty pleasures. I loved the first film so much when it first came out, that I watched the video (yes, the VIDEO) everyday after school for 3 months straight, no word of a lie. The second film has the better costumes in my opinion, especially the pink Jackie O suit that Elle wears on her arrival in Washington, complete with pill box hat. If you haven’t seen these films (you should be ashamed) you should watch them right now!
I think Reese’s career fashion highlight has to be playing June Carter Cash in the Johnny Cash biopic, Walk the Line. With her trademark golden tresses dyed a chocolate brown, Reese looks beautiful in designs from the era. I love this shot of her sat on the bed, her hair looks amazing, look at all that volume! To die for. You can’t appreciate the costumes until you’ve seen them come to life in this film, so here’s the trailer for you, and if you haven’t already, please make a point to see this film.

Elie's New Girl
I've just watched the trailer for Leighton's new movie which also stars Gwyneth Paltrow and Tim McGraw. You should check it out because it looks really good, sort of like a tame, female lead, Walk the Line. Is it sad that I have a soft spot for country music? This is the influence of my Mum's love of Shania Twain and the sheer awesomness of Taylor Swift. I don't think this is a bad thing, others may disagree.

GLEE for GQ
I really can’t decide whether I love or hate these pictures? In the new issue of GQ (not sure if it’s the British or American version as yet) the stars of GLEE, Lea Michele, Dianna Agron and Cory Monteith, have been shot by Terry Richardson. (For the record, my favourite images are the tenth and last).
Before I even read who had been behind the camera on this shoot I knew it had been TR, his signature is all over these. His pictures are blatantly perverted, and, at the risk of sounding like a 60 year-old Daily Mail reader, they sometimes make me feel uncomfortable. I think that could be to do with the allegations that were brought up against him earlier in the year, where a few models came forward (anonymously) and told of how they were practically molested by the photographer. This is why I think some people can never fully decide whether to love or loathe Richardson, one minute the photos are creepy and try hard, then the next they make you feel quite…aroused?
His photographic style does nothing to help discard the idea of him being a sexual predator. But maybe that is the appeal to so many people? Looking at his overtly sexual pictures could release something in people that they may only otherwise get through reading Nuts or watching porn?
Anyway, I’m going to stop discussing these like an OAP and let you make up your mind for yourself.
What do you think of Terry Richardson?

Channeling Hepburn
A wonderful way to start the day. The sublime Anne Hathaway stars in American Vogue’s November issue cover shoot, photographed by Mario Testino.
Recently, Joan Collins was quoted as saying there was no truly beautiful actresses in Hollywood anymore, as opposed to the likes of Ava Gardner et al. She did say that the only person she felt could fit that mold would be Angelina Jolie, but after seeing these pictures I feel like she missed someone out.
Anne channels old Hollywood in these gorgeous photos and looks amazing whilst doing so. My favourite images are the third and the sixth in the set as she looks uncannily like Audrey Hepburn, who is definitely in my top 3 style icons of all time. The third image really reminds me of Hepburn in Sabrina, when she has returned from Paris and she shows up to one of the Larrabee’s infamous parties in that stunning Givenchy dress. And, of course, we all know what the sixth image is reminding me of. Anne is the spitting image of Audrey in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, proof that the LBD plus chic chignon combo never dates. It’s a timeless classic, just like Audrey Hepburn herself, and I can see Hathaway following in those footsteps. Oh to look this effortlessly chic…

Hey Arnold!
I have a new girl crush (I know what you're thinking, "again?" right?) But come on, look at this girl! An up-and-comer on the music scene, and the face of the new Nina Ricci fragrance, Florrie Arnold is making waves in fashion circles too. As much as I love Blake Lively, and as much as Florrie isn't an actress, I'm thinking that she would have made a perfect Serena van der Woodsen in Gossip Girl. If you've read the books you'll know what I mean. Just look at that immaculate shade of blonde and the perfect blown out waves in the final picture? Heaven. I'll look forward to seeing more pictures of Florrie at fashion events in the future.
Dangerous Liaisons
I don’t know why but these photos make me want to find a glamorous long coat and wear nothing but Agent Provocateur lingerie, Christian Louboutin stilettos and some Audrey Hepburn style shades whilst meeting a secret lover for a dangerous liaison. I guess that’s just the kind of mood I’m in today for some reason…
