My Favourite Things...from Milan Fashion Week

Here are my favourite looks from Milan Fashion Week. As always, glamour was the main theme across the board at Milan Fashion Week. Embellished dresses and tropical prints were also seen in collections such as Gucci, Pucci, Bottega and Blumarine. I can't wait to see the Salvatore Ferragamo and Dolce & Gabbana dresses on the red carpet.

Picture of the Fashion Week: LFW Edition

Sienna Miller attended the Moet & Chandon Etoile Awards in London which honoured Mario Testino during LFW. She wore a super sexy Christian Dior dress, paired with side swept hair and sultry vampish make up. I loved the dark lip colour so much that the day after I saw this picture I painted my lips a similar shade of claret for the day. This is the best Sienna Miller has looked for a while. My girl crush has returned.

My Favourite Things...from London Fashion Week

Here are my favourite looks from London Fashion Week. Bright colours and bold prints were the most common themes across all the collections. Tribal seems to making another comeback, mainly through the medium of Burberry Prorsum. I usually LOVE Christopher Bailey's designs for the British heritage brand, but I felt slightly let down by this collection. The designs just weren't spring/ summery enough for me.

Mary Katrantzou
Matthew Williamson

Roksanda Illcinic

I've managed to pick a single look from each of my favourite collections at LFW, but there was a label that I couldn't pick just one look from. That collection was Mulberry, and here are my favourite 4 looks (I also LOVE LOVE LOVE the hair):

Ahhhhhhhhhh :)

My Favourite Things from the Emmys

The 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards were held in Los Angeles last night. There was plenty of gorgeous looks for me to get excited about when I logged onto Red Carpet Fashion Awards this morning. I particularly LOVED Nina Dobrev, I've never seen her look this good on the red carpet. She's a beautiful girl, no doubt, but she has been stuck in that tired Hollywood-starlet-in-a-tight-sparkley-minidress rut for a while, so this red-hot floor length gown was a breath of fresh air. I also loved that Gwyneth Paltrow dared to bare and flashed midriff in this gorgeous Emilio Pucci dress (or should that be skirt and top?). All of my favourites are below with a one word review (which is a lot harder to do than you think!).

Nina Dobrev in Donna Karen: WOW!
Gwyneth Paltrow in Emilio Pucci: Sexy
Dianna Agron in Roksanda Ilincic: Electric
Julia Stiles in Georges Hobeika Couture: Beautiful
Elisabeth Moss in Marchesa: Ethereal
Rachael Taylor in Giorgio Armani: Glamorous
Cat Deeley in Monique Lhuillier: Princess
Sarah Hyland in Cristian Siriano: Pleats! :)
Rashida Jones in Alberta Ferretti: Pretty
Anna Paquin in Alexander McQueen (obviously): Chic
Lea Michele in Marchesa: Hot
Minka Kelly in Dior: Classic
Michelle Dockery (far right): Elegant

My Favourite things from New York Fashion Week

I'm so far behind on fashion month and we're only just on week 2! Instead of posting loads of posts in one go I'm going to do a round up at the end of each city's shows with my favourites.

There was an array of confectionary coloured clothes on display at NYFW. I love pastles, especially lilac and mint green, so there was plenty to love from many collections. It's dresses all the way for me, and I find that I especially can't stop thinking about the Great Gatsby-esque silk gowns at Ralph Lauren. I also love the lilac Badgley Mischka gown which NEEDS a red carpet moment soon, preferably on Leighton Meester or Dianne Kruger.

As I'm sure I've mentioned before, I wish daily dressing up was still the done thing. Although you'd never think it as my day-to-day uniform tends to be jeans and a t-shirt. At the moment, if I could live in any other era it would be, without a doubt, the 1910's, and I would live in Downton Abbey. Upstairs, naturally.
