Karolina Kurkova is currently THE model to have in your editorials. She has gone from a Victoria’s Secret model (the WAGs of fashion modeling, even though I love a Victoria’s Secret fashion show) to editors favourite in what feels like a season. I started to take notice of her in a serious fashion way when Giles Deacon and Katie Grand put her on the Giles catwalk last season. Since then her star has risen higher than ever, and this season she walked for Elie Saab, Jean Paul Gaultier, Chanel, Roberto Cavalli, Christopher Kane and Oscar de la Renta amongst many others. The reason she’s stood out to me recently, apart from the number of times she pops up on Fashion Gone Rogue, is because of the amount of weight she seems to have lost. That’s the price you pay to be a top model I guess, but I hope she doesn’t get any slimmer because her face is starting to look hard where as it's normally gorgeously girlish and pretty (like in the second image).
