As controversial as it may be, I am going to post my favourite looks from John Galliano’s Paris show. The collection, which was shown in the form of a presentation as opposed to the usual runway spectacular, has so far been quite well received by critics. It must be hard for them to judge what it right to say and not when compiling a review. Obviously they don’t want to go over the top with heaping Galliano with praise, but at the same time surely they won’t dismiss the collection all together as, like Dior, it is the work of a team not just the one misguided man. I suppose the latter would have been a great concern for the team behind John Galliano’s eponymous label, as there could have been a boycott of the show all together, but I’m sure they sighed with a little relief when journalists and photographers began to arrive.
My favourite looks have to be the halterneck sheer dress sported by Karlie Kloss (look 3) and the virginal asymmetric silk gown on Magdelena Frakowiak (look 9).
