Beauty Thursday: Smoulder into Spring

Here’s something a little bit sultry for your weekend beauty inspiration. Just as we thought we were finally starting to see the first signs of Spring, a dramatic cold snap has forced us all back into our winter coats (not to mention hats, scarves, gloves, earmuffs etc…) So, as we collectively sulk about the weather over the weekend, why not do it in style and match your make up to your mood?

Amanda Seyfried is on the cover of Marie Claire’s April edition, and while I’m not overly fond of the cover as she looks a bit stiff, the editorial is bohemian magic. Wearing designs by the likes of Emilio Pucci and Roberto Cavalli, Amanda looks effortlessly beautiful and it’s clear that she’s very comfortable in front of the camera. I love the use of autumnal colours such as bronze, khaki and brown on the eyes and mulberry on the lips. They make for a warming smoky look as opposed to the harsh-cool vibe blacks and greys can leave. Tumbling tousled hair is all that is needed for this look to be complete. Gorgeous Perfection.

Does anyone else think she looks like a cross between Gemma Ward (in the second image) and Miranda Kerr (in the third)?
