Dior Couture: The Dress You Dream Of

Here is something wonderful to finish off your week. These are some selected images from the book Dior Couture by Patrick Demarchelier. I'd heard about the book and thought it sounded pretty amazing, but now I'm 100% sure that I NEED to own a copy. This is as close to works of art that fashion gets. The couture pieces in the book range from 1947 to present day. Demarchielier describes working with the clothes in the best way: “When you’re a fashion photographer, you must inspire a dream, with Dior Haute Couture, the dream is already there.” The dress in the last image on the left hand side litterally made me gasp.
