The Magic of Marc

Marc Jacobs is looking at the hedonistic Seventies this season. The Studio 54 era seems to supply a lot of inspiration for Jacobs, as his previous collections have included references to this legendary time. When you look at these pictures you can almost hear disco music in the back of your mind. I love the floaty fabrics, the vivid crimsons, pinks and purples and the fabulous platform sandals.

These are the kind of outfits made for dancing all night in, somewhere fabulous and hot, and then walking along the beach barefoot, with all your best friends, whilst the sun rises. What? A girl can dream can’t she?

Marc Jacobs sent out some super cute girls for his Marc by Marc Jacobs show. The younger (and slightly less expensive) collection looked gorgeously fresh with bright stripes, sun hats and flippy dresses. The girls looked ready for a day at a very glamorous beach. I bought a pair of Marc by Marc Jacobs shoes from ebay last year and I love them. Even though they're a size too big and almost too high to walk in I think they're amazing, so very cute.
