Best Dressed Guests: 14th February

There was plenty going on for Valentines Day in the world of celebrity fashion. Here is my pick of some of yesterdays best dressed guests…

The ELLE Style Awards were held in London last night, but I was distinctly underwhelmed by the lack of style there unfortunately. The best dressed guests at this event were Cheryl Cole, in a stunning bright red simple design, Emma Watson, who received the night’s top honour of Style Icon (yeah, I’m confused too), and Blake Lively, who looked ravishing in bright blue Pucci.

Fashion Week in New York continued with shows such as Marc Jacobs, Monique Lhuillier, Carolina Herrera and Jenny Packham being held on the day of love. Sophia Coppola looked awesome at Marc Jacobs, I love the tailored ankle grazers with the bow tied at the waist and it’s great to see Sophia in a pop of colour. Brittany Snow looked angelic in white at Monique Lhuillier’s show (more of which to come today), polished to Park Avenue princess perfection. Next we have Christina Hendricks at Carolina Herrera with her hourglass shape poured into a beautifully fitted blue/purple and black printed silk dress, the colours look gorgeous against her pale complexion. Last but not least we have Shantel Van Santen and Emma Roberts at Jenny Packham. Shantel looks gorgeous in her powder blue feathers with super glossy hair, whilst Emma tried something different and went for wide leg satin trousers and a flower print chiffon top. Emma’s look is probably not to everyone’s taste, but I think she looks great, I especially love her top.

Also deserving of a mention on today’s Best Dressed Guests are Isla Fisher and Abigail Breslin who were on the brown (ew) carpet for the premiere for their new animated film, Rango. Isla complimented her beautiful red hair with a blue silk mini dress and silver pumps, whilst Abigail went for a pale gold sequin number and topped it off with a neutral blazer. Is Abigail set to join the likes of Hailee Steinfeld and the Fanning sisters as child stars to watch for their fashion moves? We shall see…
